Three has invested further in its sponsorship of ski festival Snowbombing, becoming a tier one presenting partner and announcing plans to create its own dedicated venue, Three Haus.

The telecoms brand was named as an activation partner for the 2015 festival, where it employed a ‘roving reporter’ to submit content from the Mayrhofen in Austria.

This year will see the brand take the naming rights to the Berghof Garden venue. John Rash, agency director at festival owner Broadwick Live, told The Drum the newly-named Three Haus has been designed in the style of a traditional Alpine chalet and feature rustic wood detailing.

Performers booked to play the space include Norman Jay, The Cuban Brothers and Kiss DJs Rickie and Melvin.

Rash added: “This year [Three] have escalated their partnership with a larger stake in the festival, and added to their brand activation as part of the rollout of their Feel At Home campaign.”

Three hopes its sponsorship of Snowbombing will highlight how users can use their phones abroad in 19 countries at no extra cost.

Pippa Whybourne, lead communications manager at Three, said: “We are so excited to be partnering with Snowbombing on what is the most exciting venue at the festival. We are therefore looking forward to welcoming Snowbombers to our ‘haus’ so they can share their party pictures shamelessly.”
