'Red tape takes away from the soul of brands' - Truffle's Ellie Hernaman talks transparency on the Social Buzz Show

In the most recent episode of The Drum's weekly Social Buzz show, our community manager Adam Libonatti-Roche speaks to director of Truffle Social director Ellie Hernaman.

Taking to the couch to discuss her career path, which started in fashion PR, Hernaman also touched upon the issue of transparency and why it's time for brands to drop the act when it comes to advertising.

"Sincerity and transparency are so key to making sure that the brand ethos and messages are getting put across in the right way, Hernaman told The Drum.

"I think red tape takes away from the soul of brands and now people are quite cynical; they second guess and they're quite aware of what the end goals of the brand are."

"People want to know there's a human side to companies," she added.

The series accompanies The Drum’s weekly Social Buzz chat, which takes place every Tuesday between 7-8pm GMT. You can follow and contribute on Twitter using the hashtag #SMBuzzChat.
