Twitter refines Moments feature with new mobile links
Twitter has announced a further refinement to its Moments feature, which agglomerates specially curated tweets in one place, with the ability to embed links within the iOS and Android app.
This enables viewers to tap through directly to a news article, blog or recipe direct from the tweet with the ability to jump directly back to jumping off point in Moments when done.
To speed up the mobile experience Twitter has also collaborated with publishers and the industry to launch the AMP Project, an open source initiative intended to aid publishers in developing fast loading mobile websites.
Explaining the move in a blog post Twitter said: “People can now dive deeper into publisher content found in Moments, and publishers can continue telling their stories on their own websites, all while also accessing Twitter’s global audience. This expands possibilities for storytelling on Twitter, while providing more context for people.”
Links from Moments accessed via Twitter.com will continue to be clickable as before.
