AOL UK is providing Free the Children with free ad inventory across its owned and operated media properties in support of the charity’s WE Day UK event taking place today (9 March).

The ads will run across the AOL.co.uk homepage, be supported by a homepage takeover, while an exclusive livestream of the event will take place on AOL's UK website with a secondary stream on HuffPost Entertainment.

WE Day is a celebration of young people making a difference in their local and global communities, culminating in a special event at The SSE Arena, Wembley today (9 March). Attendees have to earn a ticket to attend instead of buying one and the event includes speeches and performances from the likes of Rita Ora, Fleur East and Labrinth.

Marc Kielburger, co-founder of Free the Children and WE Day, said: “Today’s generation of young people have the power to create real systematic change. Thanks to our incredible partnership with AOL, we are working together to spread the message of WE Day through their digital platforms, so thousands of young people across the UK realise that they are not alone and that collectively have the power to change the world.”

The deal also includes guaranteed impressions every month of the year through the ONE by AOL: Display platform.

In addition, WE Day UK will be supported by AOL through sponsored content on HuffPost including articles, blogs and social media competitions.
