Tinder is mulling a matchmaker service that will allow a user to share a profile of another user with their friends.

The dating app is currently testing the feature in various markets. Some users may begin to see the option to share a profile they come across with a ‘share’ icon.

Tapping on the icon creates a temporary link which can be sent via text to a friend. The recipient is then able to swipe on the profile shared before it expires after five clicks or 72 hours - whichever comes first.

It’s the latest new function to come to the platform in recent months. Ahead of Valentine’s Day, Tinder partnered with Giphy to tap into the burgeoning GIF trend while it’s also created a 'Health and Safety' section to its app and website to help users with advice on contraception and seek out STD testing facilities.

Last year, in one of its biggest updates, Tinder unveiled a ‘Super Like’ function allowing users to swipe up in order to let someone know just how much they are admired.
