iPlayer unveils online-exclusive show Training Tunes following BBC Three shift
BBC iPlayer will reveal the tracks that inspire top athletes and sports personalities with its new online exclusive show ‘Training Tunes’.
From 27 February host Trevor Nelson will meet with a famous sports person to dive into the music playlists that drive them to gold and glory.
Episode one sees Olympic gold medalist Jessica Ennis-Hill share the music that has inspired her and gives insight into how she is training for Rio 2016.
The exclusive production, from Somethin' Else, comes as the BBC goes all in with its digital offering having shifted BBC Three online only where it claimed it would largely better serve its millennial audience.
Despite suffering through an era of cuts, the state broadcaster earlier this week announced that BBC Three has also snapped up the rights to previews, behind-the-scenes content and European, Middle East and Asian UFC shows.
