Fashion and pop culture publisher Nylon has named Molly Butterfoss as creative director.

In this role, she will lead design for Nylon’s print magazine and will “oversee visual continuity across Nylon’s digital, e-commerce and social platforms.”

Previously, she served as senior art director at music site Pitchfork. Butterfoss begins her new role immediately and will report to Melissa Giannini, Nylon’s editor-in-chief.

Of her appointment, Giannini said: "I'm thrilled to welcome Molly to the Nylon team—her depth of talent and experience across multiple platforms is a major asset in this ever-changing media landscape.”

The Association of Magazine Media (MPA) recently named Nylon as the brand with the fastest growing average audience in magazine media, according to Nylon.
