John Oliver tears into Chipotle in ‘Last Week Tonight’ season three premiere with spoof ad

British comedian John Oliver kicked off the third season of his weekly news recap show ‘Last Week Tonight’ by making a few jabs at struggling Chipotle.

During the bit, Oliver made fun of the chain’s less-than-stellar reaction to its numerous food safety failures over the past year, which have resulted in hundreds of people suffering from viruses like norovirus and E. coli.

He spoofed the chain's reaction with a fake commercial that ends with an employee saying, "If Chipotle could persuade America that 1,000-calorie burritos are healthy, and we actually did that, well then we can do anything we damn well please."

He also poked fun at some of the stranger problems Chipotle has been confronted with as of late, like the fact that one of its Florida locations was recently under fire from inspectors because a live wild bird was repeatedly coming into the restaurant.
