Marketing communications group Creston has scored a coup with the appointment of Iain Ferguson, former worldwide CEO of marketing services at Havas, as a non-executive director with immediate effect.

Representing the company’s largest shareholder, DBAY Advisors, Ferguson will bring to bear his considerable experience with creative and digital/technology firms and follows the decision of non-executive chairman Richard Huntingford to stand down on 31 March.

In a statement Creston said: “The board wishes to thank Richard for his contribution to Creston over the last six years and in particular his advice and guidance since taking on the role of non-executive chairman in 2014.

"In his time as chairman he has overseen a period of major transition, supporting the development and implementation of a new five-year strategy. The board wishes Richard every success with his other ventures.”

Huntingford will lead the process to find his replacement with an announcement expected shortly.
