Gyro hires former climate minister Gregory Barker to amplify sustainability offerings

Global agency Gyro has announced that Lord Gregory Barker, former minister of state for energy and climate change in the UK, will lead the agency's increased focus on sustainability in the business to business sector.

Barker brings a wealth of sustainability-related experience to the agency. He was appointed chair of the London Sustainable Development Commission in 2015 and from 2010-2014 held the role of minister of state at the Department of Energy and Climate Change.

Kate Howe, managing director of Gyro London, said of his hire: "Gyro focuses on how organisations can translate sustainability into stories that mean something to customers and other stakeholders. I am deeply honoured that Lord Barker has joined our efforts to help businesses that are looking to shift the world to a sustainable economy.”

Gyro’s focus on sustainability will encompass its 14 offices worldwide and will draw upon its established B2B capabilities.
