Brand and social managers are dancing in the streets, breathing a collective sigh of relief — or both — after Instagram announced that users can quickly switch between multiple accounts. According to a blog post today, the Facebook-owned company is joining the ranks of its parent company and Twitter, who enabled the feature some time ago. Instagram had been testing multiple account switching on iOS, which was confirmed by TechCrunch after some users saw the feature go live in their app.

In previous versions of the app, users had to log out and log in again — so this seemingly minor addition is actually quite a big deal to those who use the platform frequently and manage multiple accounts.

Account switching will be available as part of Instagram version 7.15 for iOS and Android — and is available for up to five accounts.
