Isobar appoints R/GA's Matt Gee to lead 'digital transformation'

February 5, 2016 | 2 min read

Newly appointed Isobar CEO Steven Moy is beginning to mould the agency, with the Dentsu Aegis outfit today (5 February) announcing the appointment of Matt Gee as head of digital transformation.

Gee (pictured) joins Isobar UK from R/GA where he was group director, and is a 20-year veteran of the digital industry having worked with brands such as Beats by Dr Dre and Coca-Cola. His appointment quickly follows the appointment of Nick Bailey to chief creative officer, EMEA, after Moy was announced as CEO in November last year.

The head of digital transformation role is a newly created one within the agency, with Gee charged with ensuring that technology, plus data-led thinking, are at the core of its strategic planning for clients.

Commenting on Gee’s appointment, Moy said: “He brings with him significant expertise in leading clients into new territories and is renowned for helping multi-market and local brands transform through innovation.”

Gee added: “We are living in an era where the connectedness and ubiquity of technology, alongside increased customer expectations, is driving the need for business and brands to innovate and transform at an unprecedented rate.”
