Mission Group-owned creative agency bigdog has poached Mike Kalin from rival Midlands agency RBH where he had worked for more than 15 years.

bigdog's new senior copywriter is Mike Kalin, formerly of RBH.

Kalin will take on the role of senior copywriter at bigdog, which has offices in Leicester, Norwich, London and Birmingham and was formed through the merger of Big Communications and Ballon Dog around a year ago.

Bigdog’s creative output in the Midlands is looked after by Barrie Robinson-Bule and Tim Jarvis, who took the creative reigns in May last year after joining from McCann Central.

Creative director Jarvis said: “Mike’s been on our radar for a while and we’re glad he’s along for the ride with us.”

Speaking of his appointment Kalin said: "It’s great to be joining bigdog at such an exciting time. Tim and Baz have a highly talented team in place already and there are loads of incredible creative opportunities on the horizon.”

Kalin will be working across the full spectrum of bigdog clients, which include Pret A Manger, Mazda, Barclays Group, Quorn, Jewson and Jaguar Land Rover.
