Manchester United snaps up Columbia Sportswear as official outdoor apparel partner

Manchester United has selected American outdoor brand Columbia Sportswear as it ramps up its global partners, closing in on the hallowed richest football team in the world position.

Deliotte has tipped the Manchester side to become football's biggest earners in the next 12 months and partnerships like the Columbia deal will help seal the positon.

Dual branded wares for outdoor endeavours, including hiking, climbing, mountaineering, as well as water and snow activities will roll out as a result of the deal.

Richard Arnold, Manchester United group managing director, said: “Manchester United is proud to be partnering with Columbia Sportswear to bring our fans a new and exciting range of club branded products.

“Like Manchester United, Columbia is steeped in history and has a reputation for creating innovative premium products. Available in over 100 countries, Columbia enjoys an international reach that matches the Club's.

The exclusive clothing line will be revealed autumn 2016.
