Nike Launches NikeWomen Victory Tour

Nike has announced a new women’s series, inspired by Nike, the winged goddess of victory and the more than 200,000 women worldwide who conquered their first half marathon, 10k or Nike Training Club (NTC) challenge in 2015.

The 2016 NikeWomen Victory Tour is designed to engage athletes at all levels via a series of one-of-a-kind running and training events. The largest women’s event series in the world, it is described as a celebration of personal victories through sport.

The tour kicks off March 13th in Nagoya, Japan, and includes 10k to marathon Nike+ Run Club (NRC) races, five-hour-long NTC Tour training experiences and unique NRC and NTC events. The 2016 tour runs through September and stops in cities around the world, including Rio de Janeiro, London, Sydney, Atlanta, Shanghai and Los Angeles, the site of Joan Benoit Samuelson’s milestone victory in 1984, when the women’s marathon first became an Olympic event.

Registration for the NikeWomen Victory Tour begins January 29th and special NikeWomen Week events will take place in select cities worldwide. Additionally, Nike+ members programming, including live NTC and NRC sessions with Nike Master Trainers and NRC Coaches will support the program kick off.
