Manchester United announce more fan engagement events as part of Asian brand promotional efforts

Manchester United are continuing their brand promotional efforts in Asia with the announcement that they will host a second fan-engagement event in India for the club’s upcoming match against Arsenal.

The ‘I love United India’ event in Mumbai on 28 February will be the second in the series, following on from the launch in Bangalore on 17 January.

Following a similar setup to the first instalment in the series the fan-focused event at Reliance Jio Gardens, Bandra Kurla Complex, Bandra East and will include a live screening of a Manchester United match when the club meet Arsenal in the Barclay’s Premier League and an array of other entertainment.

The event will be hosted by Manchester United ambassador Denis Irwin and club legend and MUTV presenter David May. The pair will Irwin and May will host an on-stage Q&A which will include a pre- and post-match analysis of the game.

Manchester United’s group managing director, Richard Arnold, praised the support from the 35 million followers in the country.

He said: “The event just hosted in Bangalore was a huge success and we are looking forward to bringing this experience to Mumbai next month."

As part of the fan engagement campaign the club will offer fans a number of competitions, courtesy of the club’s commercial partners including a 3v3 football tournament with the winners receiving a VIP visit to Old Trafford for a match.
