Disney talent network Maker Studios has tapped the marketing power of YouTube’s top earner PewDiePie to lead a premium gaming network called Revelmode.

Popular YouTubers PewDiePie (Felix Kjellberg), JackSepticEye (Sean McLoughlin), Mark Fischbach (Markiplier), Ken Morrison (CinnamonToastKen) and Emma Blackery have formed what it described as an “Avengers-like talent squad” to create exclusive videos, branded games, merchandise and greater commercial opportunities.

Kjellberg said: “I started as a gaming and digital content fan long before making this a profession, I have seen many challenges and successes in growing a brand and authentically communicating with an audience, and wanted to take what I’ve learned and create something unique.

“The idea of Revelmode was built from my own experiences and will aim to bring together an Avengers-like talent squad to work and grow a business together."

The content will be available on the Revelmode website and on YouTube.

The initiative will commence in the coming days with an animated series introducing the Revelmode team to premiere on the network.
