Skoda has named Proximity as its CRM agency following a competitive pitch.

The London-based shop will be responsible for the automaker's UK direct consumer communications – from prospecting through to repurchase, and will be part of the all-agency group supporting larger brand and car launch campaigns.

The appointment is effective as of this month, with the first creative expected to run as early as February.

Proximity now takes care of four brands in total for Volkswagen Group UK, inlcuding Volkswagen Passenger Car and Seat.

Sarah Clayton-Jones, digital marketing and CRM manager at Skoda said: “Proximity have a great reputation in the industry and years of proven experience within Volkswagen Group UK, making them a clear choice as our dedicated CRM partner. We’re excited to see how they will develop our CRM programmes through their group knowledge and creative product.”

Proximity’s chief executive, Mike Dodds, added: “Skoda will be a fantastic addition to our growing Volkswagen Group client list and we cannot wait to get started.”
