WPP’s Grey Group snaps up South Korean based digital agency Vinyl l-Co
Advertising giant WPP has begun 2016 in expansionary mood after its Grey Group subsidiary snapped up South Korean digital agency Vinyl l-Co.
The deal brings with it a number of high-profile clients including L’Oreal, Microsoft, Nike and Samsung, drawn by Vinyl l-Co’s specialism at incorporating new media technology in its design process.
For WPP’s part the deal helps to cement its migration to digital, a sector which is expected to account for more than a third of total revenue over the next five years.
WPP has built a significant presence in South Korea over the past few years, employing 1,500 people in the country, generating revenues of £204m.
