The National Hockey League’s (NHL) Boston Bruins have released an animated video called ‘Space Camp’ that is part of the team’s ongoing ‘The Bear & the Gang’ campaign.

Voted by US Creative Works readers as Ad of the Week, the quirky video features Bruins players and of course ‘The Bear’ as they take off into space.

The video was created by illustrator J.J.Sedelmaier, who is known for his work on Saturday Night Live’s ‘TV Funhouse’ skit and ‘Beavis and Butthead,’ along with Boston-based agency Arnold Worldwide.

‘Space Camp’ is the first in a series of comical short videos created by Sedelmaier that will feature Bruins players including captain Zdeno Chara, Patrice Bergeron and Brad Marchand as they go on adventures.

The videos are meant to resemble classic cartoons like ‘Scooby-Doo,’ marking a shift from past ‘The Bear & The Gang’ films which are more akin to a 1980s sitcom.
