Price comparison and switching service uSwitch.com is set to launch two new TV adverts this week to encourage consumers to review their household bills in the New Year.

The new campaign, which marks uSwitch.com’s first broadband TV advertising campaign, will be fronted by ‘Life on Mars’ and ‘Ashes to Ashes’ actor Phil Glenister, who has previously worked with the company in their 2015 energy advert.

The broadband ad aims to communicate how easy it is to compare broadband deals via uSwitch, and the advert shows Glenister and his family complaining about their broadband service before showing audiences how simple it is to switch and compare to find a better deal.

uSwitch is also revamping its long-running energy TV campaign, its first collaboration with Phil Glenister, which shows consumers how to avoid large energy bills by debunking myths about energy switching.

The campaign has a wider aim of addressing the challenges many people across the UK face due to the rising cost of living, by raising awareness of how money can be saved through better energy and broadband deals.

Simon Hills, head of marketing at uSwitch.com, said: "While consumers are getting the hang of switching some home essentials like car insurance, when it comes to broadband and energy, people are nowhere near as proactive."

"We hope the new adverts will encourage consumers to review their broadband and energy tariffs, and enjoy lower bills in 2016."

Thinking Juice created the ads, and the campaigns will be supported by social media marketing on Facebook and Twitter, along with YouTube and email promotion.
