WhatsApp reportedly readies Skype video calling challenger
WhatsApp is testing the release of a video calling feature according to reports.
Developers within the Facebook-owned mobile messaging service have apparently been working on the feature which would enable it to compete with Microsoft’s Skype service, with reports claiming that beta users are already testing the programme.
The rumours of the feature began to circulate after screenshots were leaked to German website, Macerkopf which posted them while claiming that the feature was being developed for version 2.12.16.2 of the app.
At this time no one from WhatsApp had verified the images were real screenshots of the feature.
