Dentsu Aegis Network buys Parisian creative shop to form first Mcgarrybowen Luxury offering

Dentsu Aegis Network-owned mcgarrybowen has acquired luxury creative specialists Same Same But Different, establishing a standalone luxury agency under the mcgarrybowen name.

Same Same But Different will now become part of mcgarrybowen, with founder and CEO Michael Campan taking the helm of the new mcgarrybowen luxury agency. He will report directly into Thierry Jadot, CEO Dentsu Aegis Network France, Benelux, MENA and Israel.

Same Same But Different clients, including Louis Vuitton (pictured), Van Cleef & Arpels, Piaget and Coach will be serviced by mcgarrybowen luxury and the agency will remain headquartered out of Paris. The agency also has a presence in Paris, Shanghai, New York and Hong Kong.

Commenting on the acquisition, Gordon Bowen, mcgarrybowen’s founder and global chairman, said, “The company has a remarkable growth story fueled by superior capabilities and a strong record of memorable work for iconic brands. This new offering will allow us to provide clients with deep expertise and ahead-of-the-market insights into the luxury sector.”

The move also establishes a stronger foothold for mcgarrybowen as a full-service agency in France.
