Shazam taps Undertone's Greg Glenday for chief revenue officer role
Mobile app Shazam has appointed Greg Glenday as chief revenue officer.
With over 20 years' experience in the ad tech and media industries, Glenday will be tasked with leading the brand's global revenue strategy and creating new ad formats.
He leaves the same role at Undertone following its acquisition by Perion—Glenda, and previously served as president of Clear Channel's Connections division (now iHeartMedia),
Glenday will report to chief executive Rich Riley and is to be based in the company's New York office.
Riley said he was "excited" to welcome the new hire to the team. “Greg will help Shazam invent advertising experiences that both inspire the world’s leading brands and amaze our global audience," he added.
“This is an incredible time to join Shazam,” said Glenday. “Scale, emotion, and engagement – those are the ingredients we’ll be bringing together to help brands deliver an impactful message.”
The firm's executive chairman Andrew Fisher was inducted into the BIMA Digital Hall of Fame earlier this year, joining previous inductees Sir Tim Berners Lee and Dame Martha Lane Fox.
