Microsoft is expanding its partnership with ad tech firm AppNexus by bringing the company’s programmatic technology into 39 additional markets across Latin America, Asia, the Middle East and Eastern Europe.

AppNexus already serves as Microsoft’s programmatic sales partner in 10 European markets and powers digital advertising in nine other markets where AOL manages sales.

By 1 February of next year, AppNexus will be serving Microsoft in countries including Bolivia, Guatemala, Venezuela and Vietnam.

Michael Rubenstein, president of AppNexus, said: “With this expanded agreement, AppNexus becomes the technology engine powering Microsoft’s digital advertising in 58 global markets. As we look forward to 2016, AppNexus is poised to emerge as the clear and obvious choice for publishers, everywhere in the world.”

Over the past year AppNexus has expanded its European staff and has opened offices in Sydney and Singapore in an effort to become a prominent player in emerging programmatic markets.
