Local

Somethin’ Else

Content agency Somethin’ Else have been appointed by The BRIT Awards 2016 to handle digital strategy and content for this year’s event. Across a six month period, Somethin’ Else will extend the global reach of the BRITs brand and grow its digital audience across key social platforms.

This is the third successive year that Somethin’ Else have been engaged to provide content strategy and production for The BRIT Awards

Toast PR

Toast PR has been appointed to carry out nationwide public relations activity for Market Gravity, the specialist innovation and proposition design consultancy, following a five-way competitive pitch, which included London PR agencies.

Toast will work with Market Gravity to raise its profile across several B2B sectors including retail, telecoms, automotive, financial services, energy and utilities, highlighting its work in innovation and ‘intrapreneurship’ within big businesses.

Global

Mindshare, PHD, Initiative Media

Unilever has completed its global media agency review and announced that it will retain its current agency partners.

The British-Dutch multinational company undertook a periodic evaluation of its media agency arrangements and decided that WPP’s Mindshare, Omnicom’s PHD and IPG’s Initiative Media would remain its global agencies of choice.

Lowe Open UK

Visit England has appointed Lowe Open UK to develop the creative framework to promote the North of England overseas.

Visit England wanted Lowe Open to focus on promoting the North of England as part of a wider £10m investment to deliver two million additional visitor nights into the North of England. However, since the appointment the scope has also widened to include destinations in the South West.

iCrossing

Deckers Brands, the company behind the Ugg Australia boots, has tasked iCrossing with a brief to attract what it calls a “new breed of consumer” through search-powered content.

The pan-European account spans five different languages for the Ugg Australia, Teva and Hoka One One brands, fuelling the company’s expansion efforts.

Love

Ice cream brand Häagen Dazs has named Love its global lead design agency.

The appointment sees Love initially charged with handling the brand’s design direction, the first of several briefs the agency will face.
