Visit England has appointed Lowe Open UK to develop the creative framework to promote the North of England overseas.

Lowe Open pitched for the government roster after its sister agency, DLKW Lowe, was selected for the Government creative framework roster in September 2013.

The framework will be in keeping with the government’s Great campaign which aims to show those outside of Britain what it has to offer when they visit, study or do business with the UK.

Visit England wanted Lowe Open to focus on promoting the North of England as part of a wider £10m investment to deliver 2 million additional visitor nights into the North of England. However, since the appointment the scope has also widened to include destinations in the South West.

Tim Holt, marketing director at Visit England, said: “We’re delighted to be working with Lowe Open on this creative brief, which aims to encourage visitors to explore the North and the South West of England; showcasing them as fantastic destinations to visit.”
