Han Solo himself actor Harrison Ford recently team up with charity fundraising organisation, Omaze, to surprise unsuspecting Star Wars fans by interrupting video calls to tell them that they could win the chance to attend The Force Awakens premier and meet the cast.

In the announcement video, Ford is seen walking into different video calls with unsuspecting fans who appear ecstatic to suddenly see the Han Solo actor announce that if they make a donation towards Omaze.com/StarWars, they could win tickets to see the film at the premier where they will also meet the cast.

Two winners will each win four tickets to either the London or LA premiere and will walk the red carpet and meet the cast before seeing the highly-anticipated J.J Abrams-directed instalment in the series.

Donations will be distributed equally among fifteen charities from around the world, individually chosen by Abrams, cast members and producer and Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy.

The campaign runs until 4 December and is part of the Star Wars: Force for Change initiative which Abrams launched last year to encourage people to make a positive impact on the world. That part of the campaign raised over $4.26m for Unicef by offering lucky fans a chance to appear in Episode VII and attend an advance private screening of the film. This was done through Omaze, which is a fundraising platform that offers people the chance to win once in a lifetime experiences through donations to charitable causes.
