AnalogFolk, Somethin’ Else and Drum are among the winners announced at The Drum’s inaugural Content Awards which took place in London this evening (18 November).

The awards were created to honour the best in modern marketing and recognise agencies, brands, publishers and platforms who are showing excellence and innovation in content.

AnalogFolk scooped the Grand Prix award for its work with Pernod Ricard’s Chivas Regal, while the Chairman’s Award went to Somethin’ Else’s Silverpoint experience for Absolut Vodka.

Also honoured was James Morris, global head of MediaCom Beyind Advertising, who won the accolade of Content Marketer of the Year.

The Content Marketing Agency of the Year award went to Drum, with a commendation to Mr President.

Meanwhile, The Moment and JWT London both won Best Branded Content Campaign for their work on Kenco’s Coffee Vs Gangs and News UK’s Unquiet Film series respectively.

Commenting on Grand Prix winner AnalogFolk’s The Venture, a $1m fund to grow startups, for Chivas Regal, judge Anna Watkins, managing director, Guardian Labs said: “Throughout the judging, one entry really stood out for its approach to content and commitment to delivering a project at scale. Extremely well thought through and executed, The Venture not only provided a fantastic opportunity for entrepreneurs in developing countries to get funding but also reams of helpful information and advice that could help them develop and sustain their projects. All in a completely 'content first' platform, that lived in local languages, with real local relevance.”
