Some TV networks are trying to appeal to their fanbase by covering news not directly related to shows on the network. Bravo, on the other hand, doesn’t need to do this as much. Why? Because the network’s fanbase is so invested in news around their favorite shows that they will come to the site to read more about only them.

Bravo attracts this audience with “The Daily Dish,” a digital hub that covers and breaks Bravo news.

This effort has paid off handsomely.

Last Wednesday, BravoTV.com enjoyed its best day ever with 1.2 million unique visits and 1.4 million total visits. The Daily Dish received 889,000 visits. All three of these numbers are all-time site records.

The top three posts on the site last Wednesday were all Real Housewives related:

· There are Two New Real Housewives Cities Coming Your Way

· Brooks Ayers Admits to Fabricating Hospital Documents

· RHOC Ladies Respond to News That Brooks Ayers Didn’t Receive Cancer Treatment from City of Hope

The top posts not only showed Bravo executives how important the franchise is to the network but also why it’s worth owning the conversation around breaking news about its own shows.
