Warburtons will tease viewers tonight (Friday 13 November) with a series of special, one-off ads hinting at the star of its next ad campaign.

The films, running during ITV's Coronation Street and on the company’s social media channels, see Louis Walsh, Gareth Gates and Keith Chegwin call Warburtons’ head office in the hopes of following in Sylvester Stallone's footsteps to star in an ad for Warburtons Giant Crumpets.

Chairman, Jonathan Warburton, who starred alongside Stallone in the last ad, said: “Ever since our Giant Crumpets landed in stores, the phone hasn’t stopped ringing. It’s great to receive attention from some of the UK’s showbiz favourites, however it takes a special kind of star quality to be the best in bakery and we’re really looking for giant personalities to celebrate the arrival of our newest product.”

The series features a call to action, encouraging viewers to share their thoughts on who should be chosen using #whoisnext?.

The shorts were directed by Declan Lowney of Another Film Company, with art direction and copywriting led by WCRS creatives Andy Lee and Jonny Porthouse, and executive creative director, Billy Faithfull.

The celebrity that makes the cut will be announced tomorrow night (Saturday 14 November).
