People on the move: Hires and Departures at Twitter, Coca-Cola, Publicis Worldwide and more

This week has seen another wave of appointments and departures at brands, media owners and agencies. The Drum has rounded up the key hires below.

Twitter

Twitter has announced that Mark Little, the founder of News Corp owned social news agency Storyful, has been appointed as vice president of media for Europe and Africa.

Little, an entrepreneur and former RTE journalist, will be based in Twitter's Dublin office and is due to start in early December. His appointment follows on fromrecent moves by the company to strengthen its media credentials through a number of partnerships with news platforms.

Coca-Cola

DDB Worldwide has snapped up Coca-Cola’s Wendy Clark to lead its North America operation from the beginning of 2016.

Atlanta-based Clark, who is currently the president of sparkling brands and strategic marketing in North America at Coca-Cola, will relocate to New York to serve at DDB WW's headquarters.

Mark O'Brien vacates the role to Clark, instead moving on to executive vice president at Omnicom Group.

Publicis Worldwide

Publicis Worldwide has appointed current chief executive Bruno Bertelli to the new role of executive creative director of Western Europe.

Taking on a dual remit, Bertelli will work closely with Guy Wieynk, chief executive of Western Europe to drive the creative agency's offering across the region.

Iris

Iris has announced the latest addition to its senior team in London, appointing Matthew Kershaw as its managing director.

Kershaw will be responsible for creating a "centre of excellence" for the agency's content proposition, bringing together the in house capability of editorial strategists, 'maker' talents and developing deeper media strategy expertise.

PHD

PHD has appointed Google's Ben Samuel to the newly created role of marketing technology director, responsible for helping clients build out their marketing technology platforms.

Samuel, who worked as of head of platforms for agencies in Sydney at the search giant, will report to worldwide strategy and planning director Mark Holden and will advise PHD’s existing clients as well as provide leadership on the subject of marketing technology for PHD’s 82 offices globally.

Dentsu Aegis Network

Dentsu Aegis Network has appointed current Isobar US chief commerce officer Steven Moy to the role of chief executive of Isobar UK as the company reshuffles its senior team.

He will oversee the digital agency's UK office as well as its recently acquired e-commerce offering, eCommera. His remit will focus on bringing the agencies closer together to strengthen the firm's brand commerce arm.

Bloomberg

Keith Grossman and Viktoria Degtar have been named as newly-created global region ad sales heads at Bloomberg Media’s New York and London offices respectively, joining current Asia-based ad sales head Mark Froude.

All three will report to global chief revenue and client partnerships officer Paul Caine.

Additionally, Michael Dukmejian has moved into a new role at Bloomberg Media focused on US financial sales.

M&C Saatchi PR

M&C Saatchi PR has appointed of Roxanne Kalha to the role of UK and global director.

Kalha joins the team to help expand the agency’s global and UK client roster, whilst leading the strategic delivery of recent global and UK account wins; Byron, Dinosaur Designs and Nude by Nature.

Previously she held the role of head of lifestyle at W Communications, leading a division that included a range of beauty and leisure brands.

1XL

1XL is boosting its sales offering with the appointment of Stevie Stewart as head of sales.

Stewart will be responsible for leading all engagement activity with media agencies at digital trading head level.

She joins 1XL from the Press Association where she was head of digital partnerships, responsible for driving digital content growth across existing broadcasters and publishers as well as establishing new relationships across premium publisher brands.

Pure Media

Pure Media, part of the Chime Communications Group, has appointed Katy Clarkson as its head of planning as part of a wider management restructure due to rapid growth.

Clarkson joins the agency from Maxus, where she was a client director and headed up the Associated British Foods group. She was at Maxus for over 17 years.

Aldermore

Aldermore has appointed Pamela Brown to the role of marketing director.

In her new role, Brown will be responsible for the Bank’s online marketing, business marketing, customer communications and the Aldermore brand.

She brings over 12 years’ marketing experience to her new role with major brands such as Barclays, RBS, British Gas and BT.
