Adidas appoints Cheil India as its social media agency for its cricket, football and training businesses
Adidas has appointed Indian marketing agency Cheil India as the social media agency for its cricket, football and training arms.
Cheil won the account after coming out on top in a multi-agency pitch.
Commenting on the win, Cheil’s group president for South-West Asia, Shiv Sethuraman, said the company was “delighted to deepen our association with Adidas, one of the world’s most iconic brands”.
He added that “in addition to the Retail mandate, Cheil will now also be the social media partner to Adidas in the cricket, football and training verticals. Driving clutter breaking and engaging programmes is a key deliverable and we look forward to the challenge.”
The Adidas account is one of many which Cheil has won over the past few months, helping the agency secure a top five advertising network status in the country. The Cheil India arm of the company is the regional headquarters for Cheil Worldwide which employees over 5000 employees.
