Immediate Future strengthens operational board with appointment of two new directors
Social media consultancy Immediate Future (IF) has strengthened its operational board with two new internal promotions. Colin Jacobs has been appointed to the role of client services director, while Tom Ball becomes the agency’s digital strategy director.
Having worked as a non-board director since joining IF in January this year, Jacobs has helped to grow the consumer division to represent 50 per cent of revenues and increase organic client retention to account for over 75 per cent of agency revenues. As client services director, he will be responsible for client delivery, operational effectiveness and further developing IF’s internal culture.
Tom Ball has been with IF since 2011 and was promoted to a non-board director role, earlier this year. Tom’s subsequent appointment to the board, follows a year of overseeing the arrival of 17 new clients and defining the digital strategy for businesses within Financial Services, Technology, Consumer, Retail, Construction, Pharmaceutical, Leisure, Entertainment and Arts & Culture industries.
Katy Howell, chief executive at Immediate Future, said: “2015 has been a stellar year for Immediate Future. We’ve added 17 new clients without pitching, moved into new sectors and have been shortlisted for Social Media Agency of The Year and Best Use of Social Advertising awards. Colin’s and Tom’s contribution wholly warrants being elected to the board.”
Immediate Future is based in Kingston upon Thames and works with clients including Interflora, Bargain Booze, Bayer, Sika and PayPoint.
