An art exhibition which allows viewers to watch curated feeds from Twitter's live-streaming app, Periscope, has been unveiled in London today (16 October)

The 12-foot high periscope, created by DigitasLB, is made of galvanised steel air ducting and contains a software which pulls specially selected Periscope streams from the micro-blogging site.

An Arduino-powered compass detects the periscope’s movement, changing the displayed feed as the device is rotated.

A team of creatives and technologists from the agency created the product in partnership with production expert Ben Day.

Scott Ross, DigitasLBi chief technology officer in the UK, said: “Periscope Periscope allows us to tap into the potential of the Periscope app, giving people the opportunity to explore multiple different worlds, all through a real, live periscope.”

The installation made its debut at today’s DigitasLBi UK NewFront, in front of an audience of marketers and industry influencers, and will be installed in DigitasLBi’s Brick Lane reception area from Monday.
