Nude photographs of popstar Justin Bieber have been doing the rounds online with a number of publications using the images reportedly receiving takedown notices.

The New York Daily News was one such titles in receipt of a cease and desist warning from lawyers representing Bieber for publishing unauthoried nude images of the star holidaying in Bora Bora.

Said letter confirmed the authenticity of the images, it reads: “We recently became informed that your company has obtained and is distributing unauthorized photographs of our Client including images showing him without clothing."

It goes on to allege that use of the image breaches the singer’s publicity and privacy rights in addition to his trademarks according to the Hollywood Reporter.

Legal action has been threatened against outlets refusing to comply.

The Drum has not published the images. NY Daily News still carries censored versions if you must see them.
