Short Rationale: "Once Upon a Farm is one of a few new companies using HPP technology to maintain the flavors and nutrients of the pure and simple ingredients in baby food. We had a great time combining elements from our favorite fairy tales and childhood memories visiting farms. When we looked at current baby food, the shelves literally mimicked a box of crayons. We determined our customer was more sophisticated and would appreciate a more subdued palette, with tiny splashes of color to place emphasis on the drawings of fruits and veggies. We also left a tiny window at the bottom, to further emphasize the natural, wholesome qualities of each recipe."

Short Rationale: J. Walter Thompson worked with popular Instagrammer Murad Osmann to create Beringer’s ‘Better Beckons’ campaign. Osmann has more than three million followers on Instagram and is famous for his ‘Follow Me To’ series, where he takes photos of his wife Nataly while she holds his hand as the two travel around the world together. The campaign uses his signature style and first person perspective to showcase six classic American scenes, like a New York City rooftop and San Francisco’s Golden Gate Bridge. The multi-channel campaign’s print ads will be featured in Conde Nast Traveler, the Wall Street Journal, Food and Wine, and others.

Short Rationale: The Outdoor Advertising Association of America (OAAA) worked with its creative agency of record PNYC to create an out-of-home (OOH) campaign that it hopes grabs the attention of advertising execs and makes them rethink their OOH strategies. Called ‘Feel the Real,’ the national campaign kicked off during New York City’s Advertising Week with billboards and posters that say things like ‘The Longer You Wait for The Bus, The More Real This Ad Gets.’ The signage directs viewers to visit www.feelthereal.org, where the association drives home the point that digital ads are facing a lot of problems – like viewability issues, for example – and that OOH ads actually help drive consumer engagement online.
