Fortune Magazine has published a profile of DC super villain Lex Luthor to publicise the release of Warner Bros. Pictures’ Superman vs Batman.

Kicking off a ‘viral’ marketing campaign with a surreal profile on Lexcorp, the studio has offered up some background into the origin and personality behind the head of fictional tech giant Lexcorp.

To promote the clash between the comic book titans, set for release in 2016, a publishing deal sees between the studio and Fortune delivered a description of Luthor which fans of the series could run through with a fine toothpick to ascertain plot points from the coming movie.

To give the article some leverage on social media, Warner Bros created a Twitter account for Alexander Luthor (@alexanderluthor), rather confusingly giving the fictitious character a platform to express his excitement about a similarly fictitious but realistic article in the Fortune magazine.

Check out the full profile here, and keep your eyes peeled on the Twitter account for further developments form the studio.
