The Ad Council has enlisted Major League Baseball veterans Eric Byrnes, Mark DeRosa and Al Leiter to encourage dads to take a more active role in the lives of their children.

Partnering with the National Responsible Fatherhood Clearinghouse (NRFC), the Ad Council reminds fathers it is easier than ever to keep in touch with their kids with the use of digital comms. The PSA aired earlier this week during weekday show MLB Central to promote a nationwide commitment to fatherhood, culminating in a pledge which can be signed here.

Lisa Sherman, president and chief executive of the Ad Council, said: “For a campaign aiming to reach dads throughout the country, MLB Network was a perfect partner.

"This campaign has already made such an impact on fathers and families throughout the country and support from such reputable athletes and fathers will further show dads how important their role is in their children's lives."

The PSA will be publicised nationwide and will be pushed on the MLB’s Facebook and Twitter profiles.
