The National Football League (NFL) has partnered with video game streaming company Twitch to air clips of American football game Madden NFL to provide additional content to the cross-section of sports fans and gamers.

Airing weekly, NFL and Twitch will share live content from EA Sports video game Madden 16, presenting news, tips and plays of the week. Bringing legitimate NFL coverage and the official video game together, EA Sports Madden NFL LIVE will be hosted by NFL host Adam Rank, former Pro Bowl running back Maurice Jones-Drew and Twitch broadcaster Scot Cole.

Jones-Drew said: “This series will cater to the cross section of two extremely passionate communities, NFL fans and gamers and I look forward to talking Madden NFL with them on a weekly basis.

John Imah, Twitch’s executive producer of the show, added: “With the growing appeal of live video game content and our community’s love of the Madden NFL franchise, we wanted to find a fun and creative way to tie everything together with the two most relevant and iconic brands.

“Given the NFL and EA’s deep bench of knowledge in the football and gaming space, they are the perfect partners to put EA SPORTS Madden NFL LIVE on the map.”

Madden NFL 16 is EA SPORT’S annual American football game, it is available on PC and major games consoles.
