Chris Riley to head up Ogilvy & Mather Singapore
Ogilvy & Mather has promoted Chris Riley to group chairman of Ogilvy & Mather Singapore just eight months after he was appointed chief operating officer for the group.
Transitioning into the role over the next few months Riley will take the place of Fiona Gordon, who has been in post since 2011 but is now relocating back to the UK for a new role still to be announced.
Riley said: “Our Singapore operation has gone from strength to strength with Fiona’s leadership. It is a privilege to take the helm of such a successful agency business with such a strong management team in place. We’ve mapped our ambition for the next five years, and I’m excited with the opportunity to evolve our talent and services to raise the bar even further for our clients.”
Riley first joined OgilvyOne Worldwide Hong Kong back in 1995 before relocating to OgilvyOne Singapore in 2004 as managing director. Latterly this role expanded to encompass the whole of South Asia in 2008 before Riley was made managing director of IBM brand services in 2010.
