Online travel agency Travelocity has chosen Campbell Ewald as its agency of record following a competitive review.

The account will be run out of Campbell Ewald’s Detroit office, where it will be tasked with delivering integrated campaigns for the brand. Previously, McKinney served as its agency of record.

Future work will include the brand’s iconic Roaming Gnome.

Brad Wilson, vice president and general manager of Travelocity, said: “While clearly communicating a brand promise is important in every industry, it is even more critical in the crowded online travel space. With our brand message, we want to reinforce that Travelocity is a trusted companion for travelers, and we are excited to be working with Campbell Ewald as we inspire people to explore the world and find new experiences through travel.”

Campbell Ewald’s other clients include Country Crock, Degree, and I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter.

Last week, travel site Priceline chose BBDO New York as its agency of record.
