Marketing Agencies Association appoints SapientNitro’s Mette Davis to oversee opening of first hub outside London

The Marketing Agencies Association has appointed SapientNitro’s Mette Davis to the newly created role of director of digital & regional innovation.

Davis will oversee the launch of the Marketing Agencies Association’s new hub in Bath which will represent agencies in the South West of England and the Midlands. The opening of the Bath office marks the trade body’s first opening outside of London with another regional hub set to open outside the capital following an investigation.

After three years as client services director at SapientNitro where she reported to Nigel Vaz, Davis be tasked with spearheading the MAA's digital offerings and will report to managing director Scott Knox.

Following the announcement of her appointment, Knox said he was “thrilled” for Davis to join the agency and described the level of consultancy she would bring to members as ”second to none”. He added that in her role as board director for MAA Davis was “invaluable and helped us truly understand the role of digital in the global agency landscape.”

SapientNitro’s Client Services Director Maggie Lonergan will has be appointed to fill Davis’s previous responsibility of MAA board member representing SapientNitro as a member agency. Davis meanwhile will retain her position on the board in her new role.
