Time Inc promotes Charlie Meredith and Sam Finlay to new director roles

Time Inc. has appointed Charlie Meredith as transformation director and Sam Finlay as managing director for advertising.

Both will take up their roles with immediate effect, reporting to chief executive, Marcus Rich.

Meredith will work to accelerate the development of Time Inc.UK's organic and acquisitive growth initiatives. He has worked across the firm in a number of senior roles including managing director of TV entertainment brands and managing director, advertising.

Taking over Meredith's former role, Finlay will lead the cross-discipline sales teams for Time Inc. UK's portfolio of over 60 multi-platform brands. Having joined the publisher in 1995, he has held the post of head of digital advertising for the past six years and was recently promoted to head of digital advertising and custom solutions.

Commenting on the promotions, Time Inc.UK chief executive, Marcus Rich said: “Investing for growth is a critical part of our strategy and with his deep understanding of our business and market leading brands, Meredith is the perfect candidate to help evolve and drive the business to the next level."

“With over 20 years’ experience in the industry and a real passion for our business, Finlay is the ideal candidate to lead Time Inc.UK advertising," he added.

The announcement follows the company's acquisition of experimental business inVNT.
