Why limit your Dubsmash’s to lip syncing when you can try to replicate your favorite Real Housewives moments?

Bravo, E!, and Oxygen recently launched a formal partnership with the fast-growing social app that includes, among other things, the chance for fans to have their creations featured on special on-air Dubsmash Social Editions of shows.

“The opportunity to formally partner with Dubsmash allowed us to reinforce our position as an innovative marketing leader,” Ellen Stone, EVP, Marketing, Bravo and Oxygen Media, told Found Remote. “Giving our consumers the opportunity to express themselves in a native environment and then seeing their content on-air was key to the success of the partnership. Finally, by working closely with Dubsmash, we were able to extract insights into consumer behavior on their platform and determine new ways to reach our audience.”

The partnership officially launched three weeks ago during The Real Housewives of New York City Reunion Part 1. Dubsmash launched a dedicated category for The Real Housewives on the platform’s trending page. Top viewer submissions were then featured in a special on-air Dubsmash Social Edition, which premiered two nights later.

“When it comes to quotable one-liners, Bravo shows never disappoint. Every episode is filled with pithy comments and comebacks,” Stone said. “For years our fans have been tweeting, posting and Instagramming these quotes, and now Dubsmash allows them to recreate them in an easily shareable way.”

During the Social Editions, the selected fan Dubsmashes are synced to when lines are said in the episode.

Bravo/NBCUniversal’s Social Editions are popular among viewers and provide an incentive for die-hard fans to re-watch episodes. Introducing a new, exciting platform like Dubsmash into the rotation is a smart move by the social innovative network and should continue to provide for entertaining episodes.
