MEC appoints Ben Poole to new chief digital officer role

Media agency MEC has appointed Ben Poole as its UK chief digital officer in a newly created role to manage the demand for marketing transformation strategies to digital.

Poole will provide digital leadership to MEC’s clients and help accelerate digital transformation by developing marketing strategies with owned, earned and paid channels. His experience working with mobile and emerging tech in Asia will also help the company continue to grow its client base in the region.

Joint MEC chief executive, Jason Dormieux, said he was “delighted to attract some of Ben's calibre back to the UK” and hailed his “outstanding track record of working with clients across the Asia-Pacific region to develop their digital transformation strategies”.

Poole was “excited” to be joining the UK business and said he was looking forward to “growing clients' business through doing great work in an increasingly digital world”.

His six years’ experience in Asia Pacific saw Poole lead MEC’s digital transformation across the region for clients such as Sony, Mercedes-Benz, Singapore Airlines and Marriott & Tiffany & Co.
