YouTube, Diageo and Grey London are all up for prizes at the first ever The Drum Dream Awards, celebrating the brightest creative pioneers – from publishers and advertisers to designers and PR agencies.

Marketers and their agencies including YouTube and We Are Social, Diageo and AMVBBDO and Volvo and Grey London will face off against each other and some of their fiercest rivals for the Shutterstock-sponsored awards. The advertisers are among the industry’s brightest and best to compete for accolades such as innovative use of digital and Dream Team over the last 12 months.

Launched to champion the creative idea rather than platforms containing it, the inaugural awards look to breathe new life into the creativity versus channel debate. Leading luminaries from all quarters of the advertising industry have been called on to pick out the winners with Lida’s executive creative director Nicky Bullard chairing the panel that also includes BBH London’s executive creative director Rosie Arnold and global creative director at Coca-Cola Guy Duncan. Read their thoughts on what underpins creative effectiveness and also a creative partnership between client and agency here.

Bullard said of the award entires: “I'd never have dreamt of doing it that way. That's the bar we set as judges and it was great to be able to say at the end of the day that loads of work reached it."

The Drum’s Dream Awards, recognising creativity across a number of channels, platforms and sectors, takes place on 5 October. For more information and to book your table visit the dreamawards.com.
