The killer of two US journalists has described himself as a ‘human powder keg’ in a rambling 23 page fax sent to ABC News hours before his death during a police chase.

Vester Flanagan

In it Vester Flanagan, a disgruntled ex-employee of Virginia based TV station WDBJ7, blamed his actions discrimination and bullying he is said to have received on account of being gay and black.

The lengthy missive made reference to the ‘steadily building’ rage of Flanagan at his alleged mistreatment and announced that he was ‘waiting to go BOOM!!!’ Referencing the recent slaying of nine black churchgoers in the state the killer said this was the moment that ‘sent me over the top’.

Acknowledging the authenticity of the statement Franklin County sheriff Bill Overton said: "It's obvious... this gentleman was disturbed in some way."

A separate video of the shooting filmed by the killer and posted on Twitter has now been removed.

Yesterday Flanagan shot dead reporter Alison Parker and cameraman Adam Ward on live TV in apparent revenge for being sacked by the channel back in 2013.
