Ad of the Day: Fiber One ‘Expecting’
Some may find Fiber One’s latest spot to be quite funny, and while others might think it’s pretty gross, either way it effectively conveys the message that we all need a little fiber in our diets to keep things running smoothly.
Created by Saatchi & Saatchi New York, the video features a man going through all of the ups and downs of pregnancy: counting down the days til the baby arrives, late night ice cream cravings, and uncontrollable sobbing during sad movies.
The ad even includes the smooth tones of Michael Bolton who recorded a cheeky ballad that plays during the spot called ‘I Just Can’t Wait To Meet You.’
The man finds himself in an airport when the baby is about to arrive, prompting his wife to push him into a bathroom while she nervously waits outside.
When he comes out with a flat stomach, viewers quickly realize his bump wasn’t a baby after all - but was something a bit stinkier.
The spot ends with the tagline, “If you’re irregular, get more fiber."
