Pizza Hut is now the official sponsor of ESPN fantasy football and will be offering a number of prizes throughout the season, one of which is a $10,000 ring, to participating fans.

According to the global chain, fantasy football participation has grown 40 per cent in the past year.

To leverage its growing popularity, the brand will reward one league commissioner per week with free Pizza Hut pizza for the remainder of the season, a football, a $200 ESPN shop gift card, $15 Pizza Hut gift cards for every member of that commissioner’s league, and a one-year ESPN Insider subscription.

At the end of the season, Pizza Hut will name the fantasy football ‘Commissioner of the Year’ who will receive a ruby and diamond-encrusted ring that the company is valuing at $10,000.

The winner will also get a trip for two to ESPN’s headquarters in Connecticut, two year’s worth of Pizza Hut pizza, and a $2,500 Amazon gift card.

The Yum! Brands chain has been making moves this year to set itself apart from competitors including Domino’s and Papa John’s amid disappointing sales. Earlier this summer, it made headlines when it unveiled its ‘Hot Dog Bites’ pizza in the US.
